This year I've seen about the biggest acorns I've ever seen.
[OK, a subject of interest for hunters only perhaps]

The acorn thing is odd. Sometimes you have them and sometimes you don't. And the sizes vary from year to year. Dad told me about the Ocercup Oak which consistently has big acorns. Friends who hunt in the mountains tell me that you may have lots of acorns at higher elevations and none down low- or the other way around (from year to year).
I guess we will find out whether or not I should be blogging. But here goes; I really can get going on some of these things, so we'll put it out there and see if we get yawns, catcalls, or maybe some responses.
