OK, you can test yourself here for three things simultaneously:
*Whether you would like musicals or not.
*Whether you would want to be a salesperson or not.
*Whether you would like barbershop singing or not.

For some reason, the beginning part (where they all sing "ice cream") reminds me of Dad.
I have a friend who is now the vice president of his barbershop singing organization. I gather it's not a quartet, because they are trying to recruit new members.
I liked the video, btw.
We knew someone who did "lady's" barbershop and it was always exclusively group singing. I think just the choice of songs made it barbershop.
This was quite a surprise to me and it is possible men do group singing sometimes. It's the quartets and the harmonizing I like.
Which guy reminds you of Forrest?
"Barbershop" is really four part harmony - you can have a large group singing. The quartet is the best of the best. It's hard to do. I sang in a local barbershop group for a couple years and it was fun. There are a some really good groups around Northern Virginia. One used to go to national competitions and did well. I wasn't that into it. I liked singing in the group but never got to the point I wanted to make it a time-consuming hobby.
